Introduction:
This report will confer consideration as a key feature of good business
communication. The further discussion on this report is related to how the
Starbucks replied to their workers after they made the decision to suspend
their product in Russia. Like other widespread companies ,Starbucks was also in
a crisis situation. This popular brand was in difficulty to choose one option
either to band their product in Russia or decrease their PR mechanism after the
unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces. The PR mechanism process
helps to spread the organization images on public by minimizing the negative
publicity. This report will emphasize the statement from the CEO of
Starbucks(Kevin Johnson) and summarise the outcomes.
Discussion:
According to the Wikipedia, a payment given by one party to another in
exchange for the transfer of something value is known as consideration. In the
world of Business ,it is necessary to maintain friendly ties while facing
challenges that are unintentionally or consciously introduced. To ensure that
your communication has the quality of consideration ,it is crucial to
comprehend the other person ,his view point, and mental attitude. Starbucks
understood the role of employer for the success of their brand in the global
market and even though they decided to suspend their product in Russsia ,the
CEO of star bucks decided to give the remuneration upto 6months
.It is very important to mention that they also guide their worker to get the
new jobs. The prior CEO of Starbucks ,Kevin Johnson once said that “We
continue to watch the tragic events unfold and ,today,we decided to suspend
all business activity in Russia,including shipment of all Starbucks products
licensed partner has agreed to immediately pause store operations and will
provide the support to nearly 2000 partners in Russia who depend on
Starbucks for their livelihood.”(1)
Conclusion:
To recapitulate, from the above discussion we can say that consideration is one
of the crucial key factor of a business communication. We can observe that
because of the consideration , the employers are able to get their wages for 6
months even after the suspension of the brand and got the guidance to
discover the new job.
