Purpose of the
assessment (with

At the completion of this unit students should be able to:
a. Discuss the Web site development process
b. Analyse client needs and create effective navigation for Web sites
c. Apply good design and coding practices to ensure the standards-compliance,
presentation, and usefulness of Web and multimedia content
d. Plan, design, produce and test a multimedia project
e. Identify and describe issues relating to privacy, security, copyright and
censorship
Weight Total Weight of the Assignment 1 is 5%.

Total Marks Assignment 1: 25 Marks
Word limit Assignment 1: 500 – 1000 Words
Due Date Assignment 1: Sunday 16/04/2023 (Week 4)
Submission
Guidelines
All work must be submitted on Moodle by the due date along with a
completed Assignment Cover Page.
The assignment must be in MS Word format, 1.5 spacing, 11-pt Calibri
(Body) font and 2.54 cm margins on all four sides of your page with
appropriate section headings.
Reference sources must be cited in the text of the report, and listed
appropriately at the end in a reference list using IEEE referencing style.
Extension If an extension of time to submit work is required, a Special Consideration
Application must be submitted directly on AMS. You must submit this
application three working days prior to the due date of the assignment.
