Reminder that ALL B and B students are required to seek 1200 hours industry experience before they can graduate (Industrial Based Learning). 1. Students should first create/update their CV. A sample is provided in the Week 10 Learning materials folder which students may use. Note that not all CV content is required to be completed for this task. Students may not be able to complete some sections during the tute. Also, students are entitled to keep some information private should they wish to not share with their tutor 2. Students should now email the CV to their tutor An example of a well-structured, formal email is found below. Satisfactory completion of this task will award the students the weekly assessed component worth 1% Fictional job advertisement Project Manager Cadet Based in Parramatta CBD, Kirkland Constructions employs a team of experienced construction professionals who deliver a wide variety of commercial and residential projects up to $10M. We have a clear vision for the future which includes the growth and expansion of the residential building division. We are seeking a building cadet to assist our Senior Project Managers to make this vision a reality. As a Project Manager Cadet, you will lead from the front, working with contractors to deliver innovative, quality and cost effective building solutions to our projects. This includes managing the process from design through to contract development, planning, construction management and close out of the project. You will be responsible for organising all trades, subcontractors and materials, ensuring the project are running on time and on budget as well as maintaining strong WHS principles. The successful applicant will be a natural leader who has outstanding communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people quickly. In short, you will be a hands-on individual who enjoys seeing a business succeed as a result of hard work and dedication. To be successful in this role, applicants should demonstrate:       Proficiency in maintaining key client relationships A willingness to learn and be part of a young and hardworking team Excellent communication skills and the ability to support other junior project management staff. Advanced ability to plan, manage and deliver numerous projects. Demonstrated project management skills, effective negotiation skills and decision-making abilities. Must be proficient in PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, as well as e-mail and internet searches. On offer is a competitive remuneration package of $62,000 which includes base wage plus super.
