Your task is to use the Hofstede Insights database to analyze cultural differences and similarities among
countries.
1) Go to www.hofstede-insights.com
2) Click “compare countries.” If this option does not appear automatically, click the “what we do”
drop-down menu and select “compare countries.”
3) In the “select country” box, choose the following:
a. Your home country
b. Any country whose name begins with the first letter of your first name
c. Any country whose name begins with the first letter of your last name
4) Copy the bar-graph the website generates, showing how your three countries compare on the 6
key dimensions of culture, and paste it into this document.
5) Click “read more about chosen countries,” and read the information provided. Based on this
information, determine which of the two countries selected is most similar to your home
country. Briefly summarize the differences and similarities in a paragraph or two.
