Dear Airbus, I am writing to apply to the Technical Apprenticeship at Airbus Defense & Space. Please find my CV attached. I recently completed my GCSEs, earning As and Bs in all my Science and Mathematics subjects. I believe this reflects the fact that I don’t really find other subjects as interesting. I would love to carry on learning about these subjects as I begin my career. This particular program is right up my street because I’ve already got loads of relevant experience. During my work experience at GKN Aerospace, I learnt to use CAD software and completed simple laboratory tests. It was so cool to see some of what we learn at school being applied in a professional environment. Additionally, I keep up to date with new aerospace technologies by subscribing to the Royal Aeronautical Society’s magazine. Furthermore, any job that involves working with my hands gets a big tick from me. I spend most of my spare time building things that I need or could use as gifts - such as working radios and phone-charging stands. I’ve attached a photograph of some of my latest projects. Other applicants might have more work experience, but I doubt they have more interest in the aerospace industry. This position would provide me with the perfect opportunity to continue my studies whilst gaining hands-on, practical experience and working with technologies and materials that I find pretty exciting.
