POSTER:
satisfactory good excellent Presentation/design x Comments: The poster makes some effective use of colour and images to convey key points, but the information is quite sparse and there is no referencing. Quality of research/sources Comments: The sources identified in the PPT slides are appropriate and reliable. Referencing Comments: The referencing on the PPT slides contains ful url. addresses for the sources but does not meet OSCOLA requirements.
PRESENTATION:
satisfactory good excellent Clarity and focus x Comments: The presentation started with a clear explanation of what pro bono work is and there was focus on specific examples of pro bono work and the benefits for those involved. Effective use of research x Comments: There is evidence of some effective research into specific examples and the impact of lack of legal funding, in a broad and narrow context; the explanation of this was excellent. There was some clear explanation of the benefits of pro bono work for lawyers, which seemed to be rooted in research. The explanation of benefits for recipients of advice addressed the main issues but was a little repetitive and could have considered wider impact of issues raised by pro bono work and initiatives. Evidence of teamwork x Comments: It did seem that the team had not worked together in an effective way, with preparation and delivery of the materials addressed at the last minute. Nevertheless, you were able to deliver an effective presentation despite the unexpected absence of one team member on the day.
