Task 1 Checklist (Not Task Directions) Observation Table Pick one combination from Video Observation Groupings (A, B, OR C) and watch all three pick one video from each combination. As you watch the videos, make environmental observations on the Observation Table (i. what is on the walls, technology used, make assumptions based on students. Paragraph: Compare AND contrast EACH of the three classrooms based on your observations from the table. Choose three characteristics (level, setting, instructional topic or content, technology use) from the Observation Table to compare AND contrast between the three A3. Paragraph: Describe ONE historical, cultural, or legal influence on education and its impact on EACH of the classrooms observed (find an influence in Unit 2 of the course materials). A4. Paragraph: Explain how practice is applied differently among EACH classroom setting (find practices in Unit 4, use one for all three or three different practices for each classroom). Remember to include specific examples from the Observation Table that support the similarities, differences, influence, and practice. Rubric your Observation Table, prompt responses, and log against the rubric and look that you have addressed everything. Submission Include the following documents in your submission: Observation Table and response to prompts A2A4. Submit in the Course of Study, in the Assessments box, under Task 1.

Observation Table
Pick one combination from Video Observation Groupings (A, B, OR C) and watch all three videos-
DON’T pick one video from each combination.
As you watch the videos, make environmental observations on the Observation Table (i.e. what is on
the desks/tables, walls, technology used, materials)-DON’T make assumptions based on students.
Use the Notes section of the Video Observation Groupings list to add additional information/facts
about the videos on the Observation Table for level and setting.
Prompt Responses

the table.
