A cause is the reason something happened. An Effect is the result. It answers the question. What happened?

Write the cause and the effect from each sentence. Give the signal word that helped you. Example: It had begun to rain, so Mandy and her sister had to run inside the house. Cause: It had begun to rain Effect: Mandy and her sister had to run inside the house. Key word: so
