I almost never use a mac; mostly because I never had the need to do it and because I never felt comfortable using it. It counts with a complete different system that I’m not familiarized with. But after reading this module I learned a few things about using a macOS device that can be useful in the future.

One of those things was running an app using Launchpad. Icons for any app that is installed on your computer may be found in Launchpad. Drag the program's icon from Launchpad to the Dock if you routinely use Launchpad to run an app.

Safari offers the Smart Search box because you might not be able to remember the precise URL of the website you wish to visit. To use this, you will have to type the search text in the Smart Search field and then press the Return key, with Safari running. Then click a link after scrolling the search results. If your desired results do not show on the first page of results, click the links in the search results box to access further pages. Lists of search results sometimes span numerous pages.

Finder provides various ways to display apps, folders, and files: icon view, list view, column view, and cover flow view. To customize the way this is shown, you just have to click the view button located on the upper-left side of the window.

You may show a system report if you wish to generate more in-depth information about the hardware of your computer as well as details about the network and installed applications. First, you will have to click the apple icon on the menu bar to display the Apple menu. In there, click ‘About This Mac’. Then, click the System Report button in the About This Mac window to display the system information. And finally, click the categories and items in the sidebar to display relevant information.

Although Mac OS X comes with tools and features to boost productivity and carry out a variety of activities, you'll probably need to download and utilize extra programs. For Mac OS X, you may download and install both free and paid software by going to the online App Store. After you find an app to install on your computer, the next step is to download and install it. There are a few ways to install the app: search for the app using the Search field in the App Store, click the Discover, Create, Work, Play, or Develop icons on the left side of the App Store window and browse the available apps or clicking the Categories icon on the left side of the App Store window, then click the desired category, and browse the available apps. After having the app located you will have to click the GET button for the free app you want to download.
