Current Future Improvements Described your indoor living space (i., square feet)

900 Sq. The square feet will remain 900 sq until management makes improvements. Describe the location of your home and why it would be the best for you. Make sure to address: climate, geography, rural/urban/or suburban.

I reside in an apartment complex; it’s located in an area with several other apartment buildings and I’m on the bottom floor of a three-level building. I would say that the location is urban, there are certain improvements that need to be made such as the roads, materials in the apartment building and the certain demographic that lives here which is predominantly African Americans and those who have low-income. The climate has remained average in Lorain County, we don’t experience severe weather, but it can transition often to warm and cold temperatures.

The future improvements of the apartment’s conditions can occur once more funding is put into the community and opportunities are given to those that reside in urban areas. Access to quality housing, transportation, barriers to securing employment and limited economic development needs to be addressed to improve the structure of urban living (President et al. 2018). Even though the location isn’t completely poverty-stricken there are barriers and poor conditions that are present that can hinder an individual’s social mobility.

3 materials in your home and how they can be more sustainable.

  1. Paper towels/Tissue

  2. Light

  3. Water

  4. Reducing the amount of tissue and paper towels will help sustain the products. If I need to wipe something minor, I can use a cloth as opposed to paper towels.

  5. There are great alternatives for light, candles can reduce the use of lights and battery-operated candles.

  6. Water can be sustained turning off the water when it’s not in use, such as turning it off when I’m brushing my teeth (AmericanRivers, 2020). A great strategy is monitoring my water

  1. Lamps and other light sources can be reduced by investing in energy- sufficient products (Energy, 2022) and using the products effectively. Also using daylight can reduce the usage of artificial lighting.
