Why is the knowledge of basic Excel skills crucial for success in the workplace or businesses within your field of study? How could this knowledge be applied in your chosen or future career field? Provide two examples. My field of study is business management. It is important that I have a basic Excel skill for my
field of study because I will need to keep track of what I buy and use. It will make it easier to
keep track of my money and assets. Excel will also help me predict what each quarter will make
and with that data it can be easier to show investors.

Discuss software solutions most commonly used within your current workplace or within your field of study. Describe how working knowledge of these applications can create a competitive advantage for you as an employee or potential employees. Explain how the use of these software solutions can help you execute your job more efficiently and effectively. Software solutions most commonly used within business management are accounting and
bookkeeping systems, customer relationship management, inventory management and control,
task management, invoicing software, and mobile solutions. Having working knowledge of these
systems will give you a competitive advantage as an employee by allowing you to keep
everything organized. Understanding and knowing where your money is going is an important
detail for any manager. It will help other people get a better idea of you finances and help if the
business is ever audited. The software will also help with record keeping.

In your own words, can you explain the difference between system and application software? How does your business or organizations within your field of study use both system and application software? Are there constraints between using one type of system software with different application products? System software is what operates computers and phones, these things are needed to run the
computer. If you delete a system software, the computer will not run right unlike application
software. Application software is the apps the user downloads. All computers have the same
system software but not all computer have the same application software. An application that my
field of study would use for stuff like payroll, accounting, and purchasing. The constraints of
these programs are the same with any program. They can be hacked, or the computer system can
go down.

Other than Microsoft Office and Quicken, what are two common software products that are used in your workplace or organizations within your field of study? POS or Point of Sale is a very common software that you would find in most Grocery stores or
restaurants. One of the most common POS system is Square. The Square system can accept card,
and gift cards securely allowing you to get electronic payments as soon as the next day. They
also have it were you can manage inventory and see your sales report. Keeping every in one
place to grow your business. Square also lets you do all your ordering from your POS system.
NetSuite Software is a software offered as a service that performs ERP (enterprise resource
planning) and CRM (customer relationship management) functions. I do not know how common
this is since I have not worked in business management position yet. NetSuite has applications
for financial accounting, financial reporting and analytics, payment management, order and
billing management, supply chain management and inventory management.

What is the importance of system security within the organization where you currently work or at an organization within your field of study? What are the legal and ethical implications the organization could face for failing to protect systems and information? Identify and explain three strategies the organization could implement to protect its systems and information against threats. The security system for any organization is an important part. It enables the safe operation of
applications that are implemented on the organization’s IT systems. Security protects the
customer’s information like addresses and bank account information. The legal and ethical
implications my organization could face for failing to protect this information is legal action
which would include give back the money they lost on behave of the customer, would lose
business because they could not be trusted for the safety of their customer’s information, and
they might have to close down. Three strategies an organization should do to protect information
are to improve staff and management awareness of information through training and various
initiatives, establish and implement control measures and procedures to minimize risks, enforce
its information security and review them regularly time and time basis to meet security
requirements.

What is your perception of the current threats presented by social media or Internet sites that you frequent? How can you protect your personal information to minimize these threats? In replies to peers, provide additional ways to protect personal information on social channels and the Internet through providing examples found in your own research or by citing the study materials. The social media sites and internet sites that I frequent constantly gather data on what I search. Meaning they know my purchasing habits, location, and political affiliation. Truly only way to keep our information off the

If I have the technical capability to create an app for my field of study it would be an app that
would show manager/owners of restaurants the how the restaurant is doing, the compare of same
day a week/month/year and see what the costumers are ordering or not ordering. From other apps
I can find, I did not see any that have all of them together. This app would allow the
owners/managers to make changes based on these data, hopefully busting the business. They
should buy the app because it also them to keep up to date with the business even if there are not
there.

The evolution of smart phones has opened up a new venue for organizations and businesses to communicate and conduct commerce. Research and discuss an emerging mobile technology trend that can further enhance the way organizations in your line of work or field of study use mobile technology. Cellphones are an unquestionable requirement that business must have. Having a cellphone
allows business owners and managers not attached to the building. The mobile technology trend I
deiced to research is the On-Demand App. This app trend is used in the Uber, Instacart, and
Postmates app. These On-Demand Apps are not just for food. These apps should be called Life
Helper App.

Blogging and microblogging has changed the way businesses provide details of events and sales. With blogging and microblogging sites, they costumer can review different brands, areas, sentiments, and information. Nowadays, it is interesting to share any information or advance any brand. Thusly, online life channels and sites sway the client feature.
The difference before blogging and microblogging is the amount of the file size. Typically microblogs such as Twitter or Reddit have a word or character count maximum and they are running by someone not in the company. Blogging sites such as Blogger or SquareSpace has a minimum word count and they are running by someone in the company. Meaning that blogging takes more time. You will only have one post a couple times a month vs able to

How do companies use social media channel “influencers” to promote their product? Discuss any legal or ethical issues associated with this type of promotion? Companies use social media channel “influencers” to promote their product by giving them free
products and they sometimes pay them. An arrangement is organized – some type of installment
– and the influencer utilizes their different properties to deliver media for a particular brand
message. They are not brand promoters and diplomats. Influencers are at the highest point of the
order, and previously, this generally included specialty famous people, characters, and notable
stars. In any case, today there is an influx of ordinary shoppers that can have similarly as huge an
effect (Connolly, 2016).
There are a few legal and ethical issues that can come with this type of promotion. A legal issue
that companies that use influencers can have is when they have a brand endorsement, but the
influencers are caught using a different brand (Bates, 2020).
