Academic integrity violations One academic integrity violation that I believe is quite common in schools, especially in universities is presenting work that was done or found by someone else. Students may resort to this option because they may often feel overwhelmed by other projects and assignments, so to get said assignment out of the way they use someone else’s work. One code of conduct violation I found was Failing to adhere to the service or assistive animals policy. For example, bringing a pet on campus, and stating it is an assistive animal, yet a service animal has paperwork and required vest as well as training, versus a typical animal. Also, in regards to said animal, you may not know if it could injure you by biting or not. These standards are in place to protect students and university members. Plagiarism Plagiarism is where you copy and use sources that are not yours nor is it your own work. Plagiarism can happen for many reasons and I also think that it is a lot easier to do now versus before AI existed. Now you are able to use all kinds of programs to ‘’create your own work’’. I think students plagiarize due to the amounts of daily responsibilities they may have including work, extra curricular things, and home life. Maybe, Students did not use time management or put the time in to study and put forth the effort to complete the requirements for that task. Academic Dishonesty Academic dishonesty can come in many forms. I think academic dishonesty can easily happen throughout group work especially throughout online classes, and in individual work as well. Students can avoid academic dishonesty through group work by coming up with a list of tasks, and figuring out what they will do to complete the project requirements and listing what they will use as far as research shows, including articles and textbooks, maybe even notes that
