Any major change may cause an increased level of anxiety or the triggering of an anxiety disorder. 2. Is there any history of mental illness in Frances’s family. A finding of mental illness in her immediate family could lead the healthcare team to an understanding of what is affecting her mental health. Mental illness is found to have links to genetics that are passed on to younger generations. 3. How has Frances’s sleep and overall health been lately. A lack of sleep or poor nutrition can lead to increases in anxiety. Frances is cry and wants to understand why this happens to her? As her nurse what information will you give to her regarding anxiety? (Elaborate on at least 3) 1. Anxiety is a natural response to stress or perceived threats, but when it becomes overwhelming and interferes with daily functioning, it may indicate an anxiety disorder. 2. Anxiety can show as physical, emotionally, and cognitively. Physical symptoms like chest tightness, rapid heartbeat, and sweating are common and are caused by the body's fight-or-flight response. 3. It's important to recognize triggers and learn coping strategies to manage anxiety effectively.
