 Ratios are always expressed as grams:mL. 1:1000 = 1gram:1000mL 1:100 = 1 gram:100mL

 Gram... mg... mcg Move the decimal place to the left or the right three spaces to move

between grams, milligrams and micrograms. Move Left for Larger unit of measurement and

right for smaller unit of measurement. (Note: A larger unit of measurement will give a smaller

number and a smaller unit of measurement will give a larger number. Don’t let it confuse you.)

 1 tsp = 5mL

 1 tbsp = 3 tsp

 1 oz = 30mL

 1 kg = 2 lb

30 mL 1 oz

8 oz 1 cup

2 cups 1 pint

2 pints 1 quart

4 quarts 1 gallon

Just remember 30 - 8 - 2 - 2 - 4
