Temperature  Critical  Heat conservation measures o Assess temperature:  Every 30 minutes until stable for first 2 hours, then every 8 hours  Temperature instability  Do newborns who are septic tend to run a lower or a higher temperature initially? _________  Acceptable parameters 97 to 99 F (36.5-37 degrees C)  Abnormalities include Infection, dehydration, too many coverings, too hot or cool rooms, leaving the baby uncovered as parents want to inspect their baby.
