  • During group work volume should be where I can not hear you across the

####### room.

####### Partner work is not copying, it is collaborating. Either you or your partner do it

####### together or you work alone. Concerns with assigned groups are to be voiced

####### politely and private with the teacher. If you do not collaborate with your group

####### your grade will reflect this.

HOW TO BE ENGAGED

####### BRINGING YOURSELF TO THE CLASSROOM INCLUDES YOUR BEST SELF.

####### YOUR BEST SELF SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING BEHAVIOR.

####### Follow procedure to quietly get up to sharpen pencil or grab a tissue.

####### If Ms. Alexander says no hands, you may shout out your response.

####### responses to others' comments

WHAT TO DO IF YOU

WERE ABSENT FROM

CLASS.

####### Please check Ms. Alexander’s classroom website for information on homework

####### assignments, test dates, due dates, and other classroom related information. I try

####### post as much as we can on our websites. If you need to know something quickly,

####### it is best to check there.

####### Students are asked to complete absent work in a timely manner. When you return

####### to school please speak to Ms. Alexander about when your assignments are due. It

####### will often say this on google classroom, and in most situations it will be the day

####### after you return to school. (For example if you miss class on Monday and return on

####### Tuesday it is expected you turn in your assignments by Wednesday.) If a student

####### is gone for an extended period of time this will be handled on a case by case basis.

DISMISSAL

####### When the bell rings, please remain in your seats.

  • If the bell rings when Ms. Alexander is talking, please wait until she dismisses you.
