Running Head: Advanced Robots Animal Advanced Robots Animal Joanna Biswas Queensborough Community College Psychology 101 1 ADVANCED ROBOTS ANIMAL 2 Abstract In world, Robots plays an important role. The advanced robot animals are new inventions of the engineers and are still working to improve the prototypes. Robotic animals can help researchers better understand locomotion, evolution and simply how certain animals accomplish the amazingly unique tasks that they do. Aqua Penguin, Bionic Ants, Bionic Kangaroo, BionicOpter, Cheetah Robot, eMotion Butterflies, Robot Dragonfly and Spot mini are examples of Advanced Robot Animals. These robots are used in different purposes, such as to collect informations, in dangerous environments and also where humans can not survive. In world robots are being capable of performing a variety of tasks and applications. Technology is improving robots day day. Here are some information about the Advanced robots ADVANCED ROBOTS ANIMAL 4 In terms of hardware, the ants are largely 3D printed (laser sintered), and the electronic circuits on the outside of their bodies (the circuit lines are functional, not decorative) are also 3D printed. An optical sensor (like you have in your computer mouse) underneath the ants allows them to navigate using infrared markings on the floor, and their cameras can also localize based on landmarks. Each ant is long and weighs 105 grams. Bionic Kangaroo With the BionicKangaroo, Festo has technologically reproduced the unique way a kangaroo moves. Like its natural model, it can recover the energy when jumping, store it and efficiently use it for the next jump. Festo intelligently combines pneumatic and electrical drive technology to produce a highly dynamic system. The stable jump kinematics plus the precise control technology ensure stability when jumping and landing. The consistent lightweight construction facilitates the unique jumping behaviour. The system is controlled gestures. Festo paid particular attention to the mobile energy supply on the artificial kangaroo. For this purpose, the team even developed two ADVANCED ROBOTS ANIMAL 5 different concepts one with an integrated compressor and one with a mobile storage device. BionicOpter Most recent creation a dragon fly robot known as BionicOpter. BionicOpter is more larger than the real dragon fly. It has highly complex flight model. It has individual control of the flapping frequency of the four wings and individual control of the Amplitude for each wing. Unique flight behaviour in all spatial directions. It flies forwards and backwards, brakes sharply and accelerates rapidly. ADVANCED ROBOTS ANIMAL 7 with precision and there implement the fast movements. As the wings slightly overlap, an air gap is created between them when they beat, which gives the butterflies their special aerodynamics. It has coordinated flying behaviour as a group. There is reduced use of Controlling the wings: precise and individual. It has autonomous flying with indoor GPS. Robot Dragonfly A palm sized robot that can fly like a bird and hover like an insect. Techject Dragonfly has a wifi module. We can control the actions of its movement using smartphone or laptop. The user of this robot can enjoy its aerodynamics wings. The Robot Dragonfly uses all of the to pack more than the power of a smartphone and full fledged avionics suite into the smallest form factor. ADVANCED ROBOTS ANIMAL 8 Spot Mini Spot Mini is a small robot that comfortably fits in an office or home. It weighs 25 Spot Mini is and can go for about 90 minutes on a charge, depending on what it is doing. Spot Mini inherits all of the mobility of its bigger brother, Spot, while adding the ability to pick up and handle objects using its 5 arm and beefed up perception sensors. The sensor suite includes stereo cameras, depth cameras, an IMU, and sensors in the limbs. These sensors help with navigation and mobile manipulation A nimble robot that handles objects, climbs stairs, and will operate in offices, homes and outdoors.
