The most important inherited gene changes are the BRCA1 and BRCA2. Women with a BRCA gene change have an increased risk of breast cancer (American Cancer Society, 2022). As a nurse, it is important to educate Anna on gene琀椀c tes琀椀ng and the possible nega琀椀ve and posi琀椀ve e昀昀ects of tes琀椀ng.
