8-2 Executive Summary: Safety Issues in Oasis Airlines (Company B)

Veronica Armstead Southern New Hampshire University MBA-620 Measuring Success in an Organization March 24, 2023.

Safety Issues Summary Two of Oasis Airlines’ (Company B) aircraft have been out of commission for the last few months due to technical and safety issues that were direct violations of FAA regulations and standards. Because of the halt of the usage of the two particular aircraft, it became a 10% decline in generated revenue early on in the quarter. Expenses in mitigation have a total cost of around $80,000 to the overall operating cost which was relatively early on in the quarter. Thus, this has led to Oasis Airlines to take uncalculated mitigated risks in recommendations for services provided. Furthermore, these uncalculated and unplanned risk bear a substantial impact on Oasis Airlines and are not thoroughly analyzed and strategically planned.

Impactful Factors Other than Revenue Barriers to services currently offered have a detrimental impact on the company outside of the scope of the financial investment. Due to this particular fact, the impact is far more impactful beyond the scope of revenue ability. If customers seem convinced that Oasis Airlines is not a customer focus driven in their services, there will be a decrease in customer retention, new and existing. This will lead to a debilitating impact on generated revenue for Oasis Airlines. Leading to cause a snowball effect of a potential in-depth analysis of problematic areas rather than areas of growth opportunities.

Performance Analysis Impact Oasis Airlines has areas of concern due to its lack of revenue ability. If the decision is made to assure Oasis Airlines, then there will have to be a projected estimate of their net earning which could show an overall improvement in what is allocated to expenses. If TransGlobal

must evaluate Oasis Airlines’ current obligations when it comes to FAA regulations and standards. Additionally, we need to consider Oasis Airlines’ will take accountability and fix plaguing issues once the acquisition is finalized. This will give us insight if we can protectively forecast Oasis Airlines’ profitability initiatives. This will hopefully give us insight if Oasis Airlines will be a profitable acquisition or if we will have to seek another airline in the travel industry for acquisition.
