  1. What did you learn from the recording? How did the speaker enhance your understanding about her career, and how it relates to Health Behavior Science? I learned how wide range OT is because when you think about OT, the first thing to come to mind is laying down on a couch and talking about your feelings. But it is so much broader than that, you can make house calls, you can have a dog, etc. They are doing whatever it takes to get people back to their previous level of functioning or even better. They are only beat out by holistic therapy, which is a whole nother thing in itself. Also, dogs or different animals in general are a much bigger part of OT then they are told to be.
  2. What topic(s) do you wish the speaker had addressed in the recording? I wish she had talked more about the comparison between PT and OT because they are usually lumped in together. As I am on the path to becoming a PT, I would have loved to have been more informed on this discussion about the difference and if maybe you could do both. OT intrigued me, but not as much as PT so I went with that one. But I am always interested in learning new things that interest me. So I think I would have loved to heard more about that, maybe I will ask her if I ever meet her one day.
  3. What follow-up questions would you ask the speaker if you were to meet her in-person? One question I am going to ask Ms. Sniegowski is how one can compare PT to OT because those seem to be the 2 biggest mixups. Whenever I tell people I am going to become a physical therapist, they immediately think of the correct thing. But then they ask me if I can do OT as well as PT, I always tell them no. But I would love to give detail to the difference between the two. So that I can better explain to them how different they actually are.
