Week 4 Assignment: Nursing Philosophy 2
I selected nursing as a career because I want to aid others and help them with their health problems. I believe that working in the medical industry is an honorable profession that should be viewed as a job rather than a means to an end. My purpose is to help individuals who are in need, regardless of their circumstances. The nursing concept is that nurses have a social obligation to deliver safe, holistic, and patient-centered care. As a nurse, it's easy to become so focused on the task at hand that you forget that patients are more than simply room numbers; they're people who need medical attention. Individualized attention and care are required for these patients. As a nurse, you must utilize clinical judgment to assist in meeting the patient's needs. We have a tendency to act as advocates for our patients. As nurses, we urge them to take an active role in their own care plan, including participating in discussions to develop common goals for meeting their discharge requirements. But, with all of this stated, we must always have a positive attitude and healthy behavior in order to encourage our sick patients to do the same.
You must follow personal and professional ethical standards at all times while working as a nurse. You end up becoming a mentor to your patient, leading them through all conflicts and assisting them in finding solutions that fulfill their requirements while remaining true to their values. As medical employees, we work together to ensure that the patient's well-being is maximized during their stay at our institution. We also contribute to the improvement of the nursing profession's image by upholding these ethical standards. I will be eternally happy for choosing this career path because it will provide me with new experiences and chances. This occupation does not allow for detachment, and there are so many different aspects of nursing that it does not have to be done at the bedside all of the time. Within this my chosen career path of nursing, I plan to contribute my education, nursing skills and assist in improving healthcare
