Level- Each classroom was a different level regarding age, however, the classrooms in Video 1 and Video 3 were similar with the size of the class. Both were average class sizes with around 25 students each. However, the classroom in Video 2 was very large. Almost double the other classrooms. This classroom was so large that it had 2 teachers.

Setting- Each classroom was a different setting. Video 1 was set in a rural area. Video 2 was set in an urban area. Video 3 was in a suburban area.

Technology Use- The classrooms in Video 1 and 2 were similar because they both had smart boards, but that was the extent of the technology used. They utilized verbal learning and physical paperwork. The classroom in Video 3, however, used no

physical work. They worked directly on laptops and did not do any writing or engaging onto paper.

Historical, Cultural, and Legal Influences

I chose the cultural influence of The Movement Toward Equality. This was showcased in each classroom greatly. In all 3 classrooms there were children of all backgrounds and ethnicities. This is huge growth from the segregation in the 1950s and

separation of education in the public setting around the same time. The biggest influence I saw in Video 1 and 2 was the settings (rural and urban) and all children were receiving the same materials and education regardless of background and personal identifiers. In video 3, the school was a little more technologically advanced and all children had the same Mac Books to work with to assist with their work. This shows me that all children are given the same opportunity in this school district, and they all have the same tools to be successful. The Movement Toward Equality was huge growth for the educational setting as it was setting a precedent that all children should receive the same education no matter their ethnicity, social status, finances, or any other factor setting them apart from other students. (ACLU. (n.).)

High Leverage Practices

Classroom 1 (Leading a Group Discussion)- Leading a Group Discussion was implemented well in Classroom 1. The teacher placed the challenge in front of all students and the worked through it as a class and grew off each other responses. Actively discussed agreements and disagreements on certain topics and came to conclusions as a class.
