It is believed that lieutenant xolonel and his accomplice ,constable soja tshabalala 37years went to a b&b in randburg allegedly demanded an amount of R60 000 from the complainant to avoid being arrested on allegations of not complying with SA Revenue service (SARS ) tax regulations and operating an illegal brothel. This two police official were with other unknown men who introduced themselves as sars officials. They threatened to close down the business if the complainant did not meet their demands. The complainant was forced to make a transfer of R35000 to one of the suspects bank account. Suspects were arrested and appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court facing charges of corruption and extortion while the investigation continues. 1 I find this report interesting because its involves to two police officials, the very same people who are working for the state to protect the private citizen of this country are the one who commits crime and corruption the most in our country. But despite that we have South Africa's Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) which targets organized crime, economic crime or corruption (hawks) that deals with this kind of crimes ,they execute their mandate regardless of what position you have in a country they will arrest you. 1 I believe that this story relates to our criminal justice system because corruption it’s a very serious crime that undermines social and economic development of our country south Africa you find state people committing corruption thinking that because they hold high positions misusing their powers and authority whilst discharging their duties, eg in south Africa we have a state capture commission that is investigating our country leaders that also misused their power whilst they were doing their duties, some are involve in stealing taxpayers money. 1 •The complainant and •South Africa's Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) the hawks 1 Yes because all the suspects were arrested and charged with extortion and corruption and also were remanded in custody.

Women and abuse

1 news24/news24/southafrica/news/man-found-guilty-of-raping-killing- precious-ramabulana-sentenced-to-life-in-jail- 1 The 29-year-old man who pleaded guilty to the murder and rape of TVET student Precious Ramabulana was sentenced to two life terms in jail. Aubrey Manaka pleaded guilty to all the charges in the Limpopo High Court in Polokwane on Wednesday. He asked for leniency and forgiveness. The victim was only was 21 years old when she was killed in November 2019, was found in a pool of blood in her rented room ,There were 90 incised stab wounds, lacerations and abrasions to her body. Aubrey Manaka was late arrested and he confesses into doing a crime and admitted stabbing her several times and said he raped her while she was bleeding. After the act, he stabbed her again several times to ensure that she wouldn't live to tell the tale. He said he did this this out of love because he was in love with the victim but was afraid to confess his love to her. 1 I find this report interesting because the suspect said exact what I was thinking about , all the abuse’s they all come up with the same excuse when they commit this crime and apologizes at the end. The suspect here claim that he rape and killed the victim because he was in love with her, which I find it a lame excuse how can you hurt or kill someone you claim to love. I like the way the court presented this case and the suspect got what he deserved. 1 The abuse of woman and children has been a plague to the South African criminal justice system and the South African community. The action of violating women and children it is a great concern. And it relates to the criminal justice system because the court and various other role players within the criminal justice system are constitutionally mandated to protect the rights of women and children by ensuring that law takes its Course to those found to be guilty of abuse of our women and children. 1 •Police offices (SAPS) •Magistrate court 1 Yes, I do believe the criminal justice functionaries served justice because the correct procedures were followed in terms of collecting all the evidence which assisted the police to arrest the suspect and the prosecutors with a guilty charge against accused, justice for the family of the victim and women of this country.
