LaSalle College Vancouver is looking for individuals who want to make an impact in the creative arts arena, and who show potential to thrive in their studies and future careers. We are offering scholarships worth up to $10,000 to new students in our on-campus bachelor degree programs. Scholarships are competitive and awarded to a select number of applicants only.

Who can apply?

● Open to any new domestic or international students and LCV graduates accepted into a bachelor degree program

When to apply?

Once you have been accepted into your program, you can submit your scholarship application. The deadline is July 1, 2024 for the October 2024 intake.

Scholarship Categories

Applicants can select only one of the following categories to submit their scholarship application:

Talent Category Showcase your creative talent and aspirations by submitting your portfolio. Select pieces of work that reflect your current skills and ideas with connection to the program you have applied for.

Athletic Category Do you have a track record of athletic accomplishments? Show us your past performance, any accolades and competition results and become a recipient of our Athletic Scholarship.

Academic Category Share your academic results from high school or any post-secondary education you have attended in and see if you qualify for an Academic Scholarship based on your grades obtained.

How to Apply

The following documents depending on the category you select to apply for:

Talent Category
  1. A minimum 250-word personal narrative statement consisting of two parts. In Part 1 describe your creative ideas and aspirations, referring to your portfolio. Also explain how the program you applied for fits your ambitions. In Part 2 tell us how you relate to the LCI education values.* Throughout your statement, be specific and include examples. Your statement should include your name, LCV student ID and word count and must be submitted as a PDF file.

  2. A digital portfolio of your work. Please include 3-4 pieces of work as they relate to the program you applied for. These could be images of work but must be compiled in one, single file or a link to your website.

Athletic Category
  1. A minimum 250-word personal narrative statement consisting of two parts. In Part 1 describe your athletic talent, years of competition, level of competition, accolades, and future aspirations. Also explain how you intend to maintain involvement in your athletic pursuits while studying at the college. In Part 2 tell us how you relate to the LCI education values*. Throughout your statement, be specific and include examples. Your statement should include your name, LCV student ID and word count and must be submitted as a PDF file.

  2. A recommendation letter from a coach, instructor, club leadership representative, or other person well acquainted with your level of athletic excellence. The letter should include significant details about your achievements, and be on official letterhead (or explain in detail the writer’s relationship to the applicant), and must be authenticated with a signature and up-to-date contact details.

Academic Category

  2. A copy of your official transcripts (certified English translation if applicable):

  • For high school transcripts: applicants must submit official transcripts from widely recognized national or international curricula, including the Canadian, American, British, Australian and New Zealand School Systems. International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) are rigorous academic programs that are also recognized. All transcripts must be official and will be verified. The Scholarship Committee will only consider grades achieved in academic subject areas.
  • For post-secondary transcripts: applicants must submit official transcripts from a recognized tertiary- institute with a grading scale. The Scholarship Committee will only consider grades achieved in academic subject areas.
