PRINCIPLES IN THE USE OF AUDIO-VISUAL AIDS
Audio-visual materials should-function as an integral parts of the educational programmes.
Audio-visual and should be centralized, under specialized. direction and leadership in educational
programmes.
An advisory committee should be appointed to assisted in the selection and co-ordination of audio-visual
material
Audio-visual educational programmes should be feasible..
Instructors have to help the students how to use audio-visual aids.
Budget approximations should be made regularly for the audio-visual educations programme.
Legal aspects should be considered in the production and the utilization of educational communication
media.

-Grade level etc.

3.Students should be associated in preparation of Audio-visual aids.
3.Principle Of Proper Presentation:
Their principle suggests the following points for the effective use of an aid
1.The instructional programme should be so organized and administered that the AV-aids material must
function as an integral part of the teaching activity, teacher have to plan well in advance.
2.Visual instruction in the classroom should not be confused with entertainment.
3. Teacher should check the adequacy or working condition of an aid before using it so that she can
conduct teaching properly.
4.Teacher should be confident in handling the aid.
5.Adequate aid should be displayed properly so that all students are able to see it, observe it and derive
maximum benefit out of it.
6.Adequate care should be taken while handling the aid inorder to prevent any damage.
7.As far as possible, distraction of all kinds should be avoided so that full attention may be paid to the aid.
4.Principle Of Physical Control:or handling
The principle is related to the arrangement of keeping aids safely and also to facilitate their lending to the
teacher for use.
5.Principle Of Response:
The principle demands that the teachers have to guide the students to respond actively to the audio-visual
stimuli so that they can achieve learning objective in a better way.
