Hibiscus Family: Malvaceae Class: Dicots Subclass: Polypetalae Series: Thalamiflorae Order: Malvales

Habit: Shrub, Mucilage is present in plants. Leaves: Simple, alternate, spiral, serrate, stipulate, petiolate, reticulate. Inflorescence: Flowers solitary.

Flower: Bisexual, actinomorphic, hypogynous, pentamerous, regular, pedicellate, complete, cyclic, dichlamydeous. Calyx: Sepals 5, gamosepalous, valvate, epicalyx present. Corolla: Petals 5, polypetalous, twisted, petals fused with the staminal tube at the base. Androecium: Stamens numerous, monadelphous, anthers monothecous and kidney-shaped, staminal tube fused with the petals at the base Gynoecium: Carpels 5, syncarpous, locules 5, axile placentation, ovary superior, stigma branched into 5. Fruit : Capsule.

Inflorescence: Raceme Flower: Bisexual, zygomorphic, perigynous, pentamerous, irregular, pedicellate, complete, cyclic, dichlamydeous. Calyx: Sepals 5, gamosepalous, valvate, odd sepal anterior. Corolla: Petals 5, polypetalous, descending imbricate, papilionaceous, petals clawed. Androecium: Stamens 10, monadelphous, anthers dimorphic. Gynoecium: Monocarpellary, unilocular, marginal placentation, ovary half-inferior, ovary stalked, stigma simple. Fruit: Legume.

Gliricidia Family: Papilionaceae Class: Dicots Subclass: Polypetalae Series: Calyciflorae Order: Rosales

Habit: Tree Leaves: Pinnately compound, alternate, pulvinate, stipulate, petiolate, reticulate.

Caesalpinia Family: Caesalpiniaceae Class: Dicots Subclass: Polypetalae Series: Calyciflorae Order: Rosales

Habit: Shrub, prickles present on the stem. Leaves: Bipinnately compound, alternate, pulvinate, reticulate. Inflorescence: Corymb. Flower: Bisexual, zygomorphic, perigynous, pentamerous, pedicellate, complete, irregular, cyclic, dichlamydeous. Calyx: Sepals 5, polysepalous, imbricate, odd sepal anterior. Corolla: Petals 5, polypetalous, ascending imbricate, petals clawed, petals wrinkled and crumpled. Androecium: Stamens 10, free, anthers versatile, filaments vary in length. Gynoecium: Monocarpellary, unilocular, marginal placentation, stigma simple. Fruit: Legume.

Habit: Shrub. Leaves: Simple, opposite, decussate, petiolate, interpetiolar stipules present. Inflorescence: Corymbose cyme. Flower: Bisexual, actinomorphic, epigynous, tetramerous, regular, pedicellate, complete, regular, cyclic, dichlamydeous. Calyx: Sepals 4, gamosepalous, valvate. Corolla: Petals 4, gamopetalous, twisted. Androecium: Stamens 4, epipetalous, anthers sagittate. Gynoecium: Bicarpellary, syncarpous, bilocular, one ovule per locule, axile placentation, ovary inferior, stigma bifid (branched into two). Fruit: Berry.

Vinca Family: Apocynaceae Class: Dicots Subclass: Gamopetalae Series: Bicarpellatae Order: Gentianales

Habit: Herb, milky latex is present in plants. Leaves: Simple, opposite, decussate, petiolate, reticulate.

Inflorescence: Flowers solitary or in pairs. Flower: Bisexual, actinomorphic, hypogynous, pentamerous, regular, pedicellate, complete, cyclic, dichlamydeous. Calyx: Sepals 5, polysepalous, quincuncial. Corolla: Petals 5, gamopetalous, twisted, salver-shaped, corolline corona present at the mouth of the corolla tube. Androecium: Stamens 5, epipetalous, anthers sagittate, filaments short, stamens included. Gynoecium: Bicarpellary, apocarpous. Ovaries are free, but with a common style and stigma. Marginal placentation, two horn-like discs present, ovary superior, stigma dumb-bell-shaped.

Gynoecium: Bicarpellary, syncarpous, unilocular, parietal placentation, ovary superior, annular disc present, stigma dumb-bell-shaped.

Habit: Shrub, nodes swollen. Leaves: Simple, opposite, decussate, petiolate, reticulate.

Leucas Family: Lamiaceae Class: Dicots Subclass: Gamopetalae Series: Bicarpellatae Order: Lamiales

Habit: Herb, stem quadrangular, plants aromatic, stem hairy. Leaves: Simple, opposite, decussate, aromatic, serrate, petiolate.

Inflorescence: Verticillaster. Flower: Bisexual, zygomorphic, hypogynous, pentamerous, irregular, with small pedicels, complete, cyclic, dichlamydeous. Calyx: Sepals numerous, gamosepalous, valvate. Corolla: Petals 5, gamopetalous, imbricate, bilipped or bilabiate, Androecium: Stamens 4, epipetalous, didynamous, anthers divergent or divaricate. Gynoecium: Bicarpellary, syncarpous, tetralocular, one ovule per locule, axile placentation, ovary superior, ovary deeply four-lobed, style–gynobasic, disc present below the ovary, stigma bifid.
