1 INTRODUCTION

1 INVENTION’S HISTORY OF BRAINPOP
BrainPOP was invented in the year of 1999 by a pediatric immunologist named Dr. Avraham. The major reason for this invention is that, as a doctor, Dr. Kadar frequently had to explain complex medical conditions and treatments to children, however, he found that traditional ways of explaining these were ineffective in helping young patients to comprehend these complex concepts. To address this problem, he invented BrainPop, for in which, is an app that makes difficult material more accessible, as well as, engaging to children. Additionally, BrainPop uses animations and interactive features to help children learn and comprehend complex concepts in a fun and engaging way. Furthermore, Dr. Kadar's objective was to make learning a joyful experience for children, making it simpler and easier for them to grasp and retain information. As an outcome, BrainPop is now has become a popular instructional tool for a wide range of subjects worldwide. 1 OVERVIEW OF BRAINPOP BrainPop is a mobile educational platform designed to provide students with interesting and interactive learning experiences through animated videos and movies, as well as, interactive quizzes and games. It includes a wide range of topics, including Science, Mathematics, History, English, Social Studies, Arts and Music, Health, Engineering and Technology, and others. Also, the app provides lessons on a range of topics, ranging from basic to advanced. For instance, as for the topics for English Grammar, it cover everything from basic topics like nouns to more advanced topics like active and passive voice. Additionally, BrainPop is suitable for both elementary and secondary learners, making it an efficient tool for learners of all ages. Moreover, this application as well makes studying more enjoyable and accessible, as it helps in aiding students in grasping and retaining information across multiple subjects and areas.

It offers a wide range of courses, such as Science, Mathematics, History, Social Studies, English, Arts & Music, Health, Engineering and Technology, and more. Additionally, BrainPop's ample content and user-friendly features help learners grasp and retain knowledge efficiently, making it a significant and effective educational tool for educators, as well as, learners. Furthermore, BrainPop regularly improvises its content to make sure it is up-to-date and reflects on the current educational standards and topics, ensuring that students have access to the most up-to-date information and learning resources. 1 BRAINPOP ACCESSIBILITY BrainPop is available on various kinds of platforms, including iOS, Macs, Windows, and Chromebooks. - Educational content As an established educational platform, BrainPop signifies its numerous benefits that improve students' learning and provide teachers access to essential materials. To start with, an advantage of this app is the educational content. BrainPop’s popularity is mainly due to its amazing instructional material. This app ensures students gain precise and relevant knowledge by providing comprehensive and dependable information throughout various subjects. Also, teachers could depend on this content because it has been specifically chosen to fulfill educational requirements. BrainPop supports teachers and students in reaching academic goals by facilitating an easy process into lesson plans that are aligned with academic goals.
- Animated videos Animated videos are also provided in this app. A key element that differentiates BrainPop from regular learning materials is its adaptation of animated videos. These videos, which feature likable characters like Tim and Moby, simplify difficult subjects and accomplish it in an engaging manner. BrainPop supports teachers and students in reaching academic goals by facilitating an easy process into lesson plans aligned with academic goals. 3 DISADVANTAGES OF BRAINPOP

Although BrainPOP is very useful, there are a few disadvantages of this app that will make students or educators rethink subscribing to the app for using it daily. - Subscription’s Cost BrainPOP operates on a subscription model, which can be a significant financial burden for individual users, families, or educational institutions with constrained budgets. Although there are a few free resources available, most of BrainPOP's content, including interactive videos, quizzes, and learning activities, require a paid subscription. Consequently, the cost can limit access to BrainPOP’s educational benefits, potentially excluding students from lower-income families or underfunded schools. - Over-reliance on Visual Learning BrainPOP is designed to cater primarily to visual learners through its engaging videos and animated content. However, for visual learners, it is stimulating and captivating but what about other learners? It presents several disadvantages for other types of learners. Auditory learners might find the narration helpful, but the platform's primary focus on visual content can overshadow this benefit. Kinesthetic learners, who thrive on hands-on activities and physical engagement, may find the interactive elements and quizzes insufficiently immersive or interactive to hold their interest. Read-write learners might also feel underserved, as the platform’s emphasis on visual, and also auditory media can detract from the depth and richness of text-based learning materials they prefer.
- Internet Dependency A significant disadvantage of BrainPOP is its reliance on a stable internet connection. The platform’s rich multimedia content, including videos, interactive quizzes, and games, are all primarily accessible online. This can be problematic for students and educators in areas with limited or unreliable internet access. Without a consistent connection, users might experience interruptions, delays, or complete inability to access the educational materials, which can disrupt the learning process. This dependence on the Internet poses a particular challenge in remote or underserved communities where broadband infrastructure is lacking. As a result, the digital divide is widened, with students in these areas missing out on the interactive and engaging educational experiences that BrainPOP offers. - Unfriendly to Android users Another disadvantage that needs to be underscored in this app is, that BrainPOP is unavailable for Android users. It makes it inaccessible to a wide range of mobile devices and tablets running on the Android operating system. Students and educators who rely on Android platforms may have some issues, reduced functionality, or average user experiences, hindering their ability to access and utilize educational content effectively. Students or educators who want to use this app need to make sure that they are either IOS, Mac, Windows, or Chromebook users only. This can also lead to higher uninstall rates, lower user ratings, and ultimately, a loss of potential customers who prefer or exclusively use Android devices. By not catering to Android users, this app may risk not only alienating a substantial portion of their target audience but also undermining its own mission of promoting accessible and inclusive learning opportunities for all.
- Next, the young peers will be able to test themselves and their understanding of the noun rules by answering the pop quiz. All they need to do is click on the "quiz" button.
- Finally, the quiz will reveal the scores achieved by peers. This will help parents, learners and teachers to keep track of their performance in selected topics and improve their grades.

Learning is convenient for kids, teachers, and parents via BrainPOP's accessibility across multiple platforms, including iOS, Macs, Windows, and Chromebooks. In order to provide specialized educational content for a range of needs, it offers versions such as BrainPOP Jr. for young learners and BrainPOP ELL for English language learners. All things considered, BrainPOP would be suitable for anyone looking for a fun, engaging, and easily accessible learning experience. Nevertheless, the BrainPOP mobile app offers much to teachers and students alike, including educational materials, tests, various subjects, and entertaining animated films. Achieving learning objectives in formal and informal educational environments depends on these characteristics. However, BrainPOP has limitations, just like any other mobile application. In particular, it is not user-friendly for Android users, has a high monthly membership cost, primarily depends on visual learning, and requires a steady internet connection. These restrictions may be burdensome for students to overcome, mainly because not all students have equal access to the application because of different limitations.
