FOCUS SKILLS: Speaking LANGUAGE/ GRAMMAR FOCUS language of comparing and contrasting; words phrases describing jobs CONTENT STANDARD/S: Main Skill: Speaking 2 Communicate information, ideas, opinions and feelings intelligibly on familiar topics Complementary Skill: Writing 4 Communicate intelligibly through print and digital media on familiar topics LEARNING STANDARD/S: Main Skill: Speaking 2.1 Explain and justify own point of view Complementary Skill: Writing 4.1 Explain the main points of an idea or argument LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Main Speaking By the end of the lesson, Students will be able to list down jobs with correct alphabet down the left-hand margin. Complementary Reading By the end of the lesson, Students will be able to compare two pictures using list of ideas. SUCCESS CRITERIA: Pupils are able to: 1. Students will be able to list down at least 10 jobs with correct alphabet down the left-hand margin in pairs. 2. Students will be able to compare two pictures using list of ideas individually. DIFFERENTIATION STRATEGIES Strategy 3: Differentiate by the type and amount of support provided Top target (for more proficient pupils) Supported target (for less proficient pupils) Complete the task with minimal guidance Help with identifying keywords for possible answers ACTIVITIES: Set-Induction 1. Students will be greeted by teacher warmly and ask them how their day is going. 2. Students will be asked to quickly share one dream job they have in mind. 3. Students will be asked write down on a piece of paper: 1) Their favourite hobby or activity 2) A job they think might be related to that hobby. 4. A few students will be shared what they wrote down. 5. Students will be introduced today’s topic Pre-lesson 1. Students will be played the A-J of jobs. 2. Students will be asked to sit in pairs. 3. Each pair are given a piece of paper. 4. Students will be written the alphabet down the left-hand margin. 5. Students will be written one profession for every letter of the alphabet (i. A - actor, B - builder..- Journalist) 6. Students will be given 1 0 minutes. 7. After that, a few pairs will be chosen to give their answer. Lesson delivery Activity 1: Job Comparison 1. Students will be shown two pictures and tell what they see. 2. Students will be asked to compare between two pictures. 3. Students will be shown a list of ideas to help them to compare both pictures. - Type of Job: What do they do? - Working Hours: When do they work? - Workplace: Where do they work? - Skills Needed: What skills do they need?

  1. Students will be given 15 minutes.
  2. Students will be discussed the answer together. Activity 2: Discussion
  3. Students will be ask a few questions regarding the topic.

  • What skills are most important for the job?
  1. Students will be explained about Post-lesson: Quizizz Games
  2. Students will be ask to sit in groups of 4.
  3. Students will be given 1 piece paper mode for each group.
  4. Students will be explained on how to play quizizz game.
  5. Students will be asked to choose the correct answer based on topic they have learn.
  6. The group who got the highest score will be rewarded. Closure
  7. Students will be asked a questions.
