Workshop 3 (Translating an Intradisciplinal Performance Task into Multi- and Inter- disciplinal Performance Tasks

MULTIdisciplinal Performance Task

Cyberbullying takes place online, using electronic technology such as cellular phones, computer, and tablets over communication tools which has a worst impact especially to the youth. According to a study by Ruiz, R. M. N. M. (2018) entitled " Curbing Cyberbullying Among Students: A Comparative Analysis of Existing Laws Among Selected Asian Countries", last 2013, the Philippines approved the Anti-Bullying law, which covered cyberbullying however, a 2015 study revealed that 80% of Filipino teenagers aged 13 to 16 are still experiencing cyberbullying (Takumi, 2016). It is an intentional harassment which affects mental and emotional aspects of an individual which may lead to traumas.

As an advocate against cyberbullying in society, you and your study (Higher Education) and with your group (Employment, Middle Level Skills Development, & Entrepreneurship) accept the challenge to create a short film that is supported by and investigation of themes from numerous angles (Philosophy, Per Dev, & UCSP)

 PHILO – How can individuals and online communities proactively combat cyberbullying while upholding an ethical attitude towards free speech and promoting a safe digital environment?  Per Dev – How can addressing cyberbullying contribute to the personal development well-being of individuals?  UCSP – How does cyberbullying reflect and impact cultural, societal, and political dynamics in the digital age?

This short film should give tips for creating a safer online environment, making a difference in the cyberbullying issue, raising audience awareness, and supporting campaigns (Employment and Entrepreneurship).

The output will be rated based on (1) logical and critical application of the lens of Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person, Personality Development, and Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics, (2) clear communication of the film’s message against cyberbullying (communication), (3) the use of cinematography, music, and sound effects should be complement the storyline (communication and technology), and (4) present relevant facts about cyberbullying to raise awareness of its prevalence and consequences (creative thinking).

Transfer Goal is the same with that of the INTRAdisciplinal Performance Task

Create a media output which strengthens the awareness of the legal, ethical and societal issues as well as to know how to seek advice or help. Ultimately, through collective awareness efforts, we can work towards promoting digital kindness, respect, and responsible online behaviour, making the internet a more inclusive and positive for everyone.

Performance scenario maintains the inclusion of the 4 exits of the K to12 Program but MUST be analyzed and solved in 3 or more lenses (i., using the theories, concepts, and
