PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: The learner is able to identify the parts and function of respiratory system. LEARNING COMPETENCY: Explain how the respiratory and circulatory systems work together to transport nutrients, gases, and other molecules to and from the different parts of the body (S9LT-la-b-26)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Towards the end of the lesson, the students are expected to; 1. Identify the parts of respiratory system. 2. Describe the function of respiratory system.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

REFERENCES:

Science Grade 9 Module and Learner’s Material pp. 4-7. B. MATERIALS: Laptop, PowerPoint Presentation, Text Book, and activity sheets. LEARNING ACTIVITIES: A. DAILY ROUTINE:  Health Protocol Reminders The teacher will remind the class to wear face mask always up until the end of the session.  Arranging Chairs  Prayer  Greetings  Dance Energizer The teacher will present Zumba Dance Energizer and let the students perform.  Checking of Attendance The teacher will ask the class secretary to whom are absent for today’s session.  Giving House Rules B. RECALL: The teacher will ask the class what are the different types of Organ system in the body. How does each system work in the human body? C. MOTIVATION: The teacher will ask the class to do the breathing exercise. Please feel the air as it moves from the nose down to your diaphragm down to your lungs, and out of the lungs to the nose. What you feel?
