CONTENT 21 st Century Literary genres.

I. OBJECTIVES 1. identify various Most Notable Literary Genres in the 21st Century;

  1. examine the genre of the given literary piece;

  2. create one literary piece from the given genres.

III. PROCEDURE

ACTIVITY The teacher will show 10 random movie clips and the students will

guess the genre of the given movie clips.

The learners will do it by pair.

ANALYSIS The teacher process students’ responses based on the activity.

ABSTRACTION The teacher starts the discussion of Most Notable Literary Genres in

the 21st Century.

(Lecture/ Discussion through a PowerPoint Presentation)

APPLICATION The learners will interpret what 21st Century Literary Genre is the

shown literary piece. They have to write it down on a ¼ sheet of

paper.

(Think-Pair-Share)

Example:

Answer: Graphic Novel

ASSESSMENT The students will select one (1) 21st Literary genre and they have to

create one literary piece from the chosen genre.

(Individual activity)

This will be graded by the use of a rubric.

ASSIGNMENT The learners are tasked to review the
