Should DEPEd start face-to-face classes? I. Introduction Distance education is implemented to avoid the spread of COVID-19,since the risk of transmission are high among students. With school happening at home, students do not find it (home) to be conducive to learning. They can't keep motivated when the temptations in home are great. Hence, DEPEd should start implementing face-to-face classes. II. Body A. Argument #

  1. Students learned less than in the traditional face-to-face classes.
  2. 86% of students under modular learning, 66% under online learning, and 74% under blended learning said they “learned less” under the alternative modes of learning compared with the traditional face-to-face setup.(Movement for Safe, Equitable, Quality and Relevant Education) B. Argument # 2
  3. Students have difficulty studying at home.
  4. Many children struggled to study at home during the COVID-19 pandemic due to lack of motivation as well as social media and gaming distractions, according to research. C. Argument # 3
  5. Teaching is a skill not everyone is equipped with.
  6. Based on the survey they’ve conducted, most parents living in the rural areas aren’t confident in teaching their kids, especially math.(Senator Sherwin Gatchalian,Chairman of the Committee on Basic Education Arts & Culture) D. In spite of the fact that students can learn safely without leaving their home, traditional face-to-face classes is way more better because they'll be able to concentrate harder on the learning and improve their physical fitness and mental alertness. IV. Conclusion The implementation of face to face classes will ensure the improvement of students learning, thereby paving the way towards a healthier learning mode.
