1. Explain the significance of the leaders in the different civilizations. Point out certain characteristics that
these leaders possessed and are worthy of emulation at present.
There can be various aspects of leadership that can be learned from ancient leaders. Some identified
characteristics of a good leader helps us know how they have improved the lives of their citizens.
According to the study, leaders who believe that humanity is created in the image of God should be fair
and love justice. Throughout the history of ancient civilizations, we have learned that even though
leaders are expected to act in a certain way, everyone is still expected to do something wrong. Leaders
who were able to overcome their personal problems and become resilient were able to overlook their
own shortcomings. One of the most important characteristics that a good leader should have been
humility. Amid his life's problems, David was able to humble himself and ask for forgiveness. This was a
true act of humility that can be adopted by public officials and political leaders in other countries.
Through these teachings from ancient leaders, we can learn from their values and characteristics.
According to Langbert & Friedman, a good leader should be able to transform his or her people into a
better person. He or she should also be able to instill in the next generation the necessary character to
lead. They also believe that leadership should not be focused on oneself but on the welfare of the
majority. Lastly, a successful leader should be humble and caring toward the needy and the stranger.
2. Since the evolution of world civilization, several factors have to be considered. Describe how civilization
evolved from different stages up to the present. Discuss the important factors that contribute to the
development of world civilizations making them stand strong compared to the rest of mankind.
Urbanization brought about a variety of complex ways of life. The first civilizations, which emerged
around 4000 BCE, were able to establish networks of settlements after agriculture and trade provided
them with a stable supply of food. The rise of trade and agriculture also allowed people to pursue
various interests and professions in a relatively confined area. The characteristics of civilizations that
emerged on different continents eventually reached all the continent except Antarctica. These include
large population centers, unique art styles, a complex division of labor, a shared communication
strategy, and a system for managing territories. Urban areas, which are large populations centers, can
develop civilizations. Although some people live outside these areas, they are still part of the
communities' culture. Some of the individuals who live in rural areas are farmers and traders. Many
individuals who live in rural areas are farmers and traders. These individuals sell their goods and
services to the urban residents.
3. Civilizations of the world experienced the rise and fall. What is it in the Greek-Roman civilization that
makes their legacy timeless or classical? Explain your answer.
The ancient Greece was an influential cultural and political force. One of the most significant
achievements of the country was its direct democracy. It had a huge influence on various fields, such
as politics, philosophy, and the arts. It also contributed to the development of the Roman Empire.
According to Horace, Captive Greece took her conqueror and taught her how to make art in Latium.
The Roman Empire provided the foundation for Western culture. Through its acquisition of Classical
Greek culture, the Byzantine Empire was able to exert its influence on various other cultures, such as
the Slavs and the Islamic Golden Age. During the 18th and 19th centuries, a new generation of
scholars started to revive the tradition in the Americas and Europe.
