B. Review/ Motivation Last meeting, we already discuss the 3rd Quarter which is Force, Motion, and Energy. Right?

Now, we will be having a review for our last topic by playing a short game. This game called “PINOY HENYO”.

But before that, I will group you in to two, the BOYS vs. GIRLS.

The mechanics of the game: each team must have 1represent to guess the secret word and will do the questioning, while the others should answer only YES, NO, or CAN BE. The secret word will be posted at the Monitor while the player who guess the secret word is facing his/her team. Each team will be given 2 minutes to get the correct word. There are 5 Secret words that equivalent of additional 5 points in quiz. No body language is allowed. The team can be disqualified for this.

Very Good. Did you know that Mayon Volcano is one of the world’s active Volcanoes and it is very popular because of its perfect cone.

And now, let us proceed to the Features of a Volcano.

I will present a Tarpapel that contains a Different Features of volcano.

Now what is the different features of Volcano according to the presentation?

The bedrock of a volcano is located under the grounds soil and it is not seen from land. It is usually made up of a layer of solid rock formations. The Layers of emitted ash and lava. The throat which is the entrance of a volcano. A lava flow or magma expelled from a volcano during eruption. Crater a basin-like depression over a vent at the summit of the cone. We have also a Caldera, a volcanic depression much larger than the original crater. The dikes which is the barrier or obstacles in a volcano. Sills otherwise known as intrusive sheets; they are solidified lava flows that originally forced their way between and parallel to older layers of rocks. The flank or side of the volcano. The vent or the opening through which an eruption takes place. The Parasitic Cone, the cone-shaped accumulation of volcanic material not part of the central vent of a volcano. And lastly, the Ash cloud which expelled in the atmosphere.

Volcanoes are natural opening in the earth’s surface where molten rocks, smoke, gases and ashes are ejected.
