A SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN HEALTH

1 ST QUARTER :

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of 60 minutes discussion, the learners should be able to: a. Know what is food pyramid b. Differentiate the Label of the food as a healthy and unhealthy c. Adopt in daily life to eat healthy foods

II. SUBJECT MATTER Topic: Food Pyramid Reference: Materials: Power point presentation Pictures

III. PROCEDURE A. Review: What is Junk food? Give different types of junk foods.

Therefore: We can go to the next topic which is Diffirentiating the food in food pyramid.

B. Motivation I’ll play a music connecting the food pyramid and the students will sing along.

C. Lesson Proper Food Pyramid: What is Food Pyramid? The Food Pyramid is a visual representation of how different foods and drinks contribute towards a healthy balanced diet. The Food Pyramid allows individuals the flexibility to choose foods and drinks from each shelf depending on their food preferences

3 Foundation layers of Healthy Food Pyramid The foundation layers include the three plant-based food groups:  Vegetables  Fruits  Grains

The middle layer

The middle layer includes the milk, yoghurt, cheese & alternatives and the lean meat, poultry, fish, eggs, nuts, seeds, legumes food groups.

The top layer

The top layer refers to healthy fats. We need small amounts of healthy fats every day to support heart health and brain function. We should choose foods that contain healthy fats instead of foods that contain saturated fats and trans fats.

D. Application Let’s do the activity: I’ll give a example of food and then you’ll say it if it is a healthy food or junk food.

E. GENERALIZATION

Therefore, we need to eat healthy foods in our daily life. Make sure to practice it in your own house everyday.

IV. EVALUATION

Get your paper and answer the given questions on the board. I’ll Show Different Types of Foods and They will differentiatie If what level in food pyramid it is.

What have you learned?

V. Assignment Eat a food that is under in Food pyramid at your home at take a picture with it and pass it next meeting. The points will be depend on how much food you eaten. It’s for 25 points.
