Blood Typing
Forward Grouping – uses known Anti-A, Anti-B, and Anti-D reagents to demonstrate the presence or absence of the A, B, and Rh antigens on the patient’s red blood cells.
Reverse Grouping – uses known A1 and B red blood cell reagents to demonstrate the corresponding presence or absence of anti-A and anti-B in the patient’s serum or plasma.
