What is

patriotism?

Only he is truly a patriot who, whatever his post, high or low, tries to do the greatest possible good to his countrymen." — Apolinario Mabini

The battle of San Juan Del Monte, also known as "The Battle of Pinaglabanan," that was led by Andres Bonifacio with the aid of Emilio Jacinto was the first major battle of the Philippine Revolution, which sought independence from Spain. The Katipunan's initial war cry coincided with the pealing of church bells at nine o'clock on the night of August 29, 1896. This battle shows the courage of Filipinos to fight for their freedom and the act of bravery by going against the Spaniards who use a Remington block rifle while the Philippine Revolution uses only a Bolo knife.
