sigmund freud Sigmund Freud developed what he labeled "Psychoanalysis" in 1896, after experimenting with hypnosis as a form of therapy and discovering that he could derive significant information from what he called "free association," or the free and uninterrupted stream of consciousness. This fostered a deep investigation into what Freud referred to as the "unconscious," as well as an examination of how childhood interactions influenced adult behavior

Year 1901, Edward Titchener applied the ideas of Wundt's in order to initiate the Structuralism in United States of America. The main focus of this was on the contents of mental processes rather than their function (Pickren & Rutherford, 2010).

B. Skinner was the author of the
book "Behavior of the Organisms".
His book was all about Operant
Conditioning. He really believed
that by looking at the causes of
actions and its consequences is
the best approach in order to
understand the behavior.

Carl Rogers was a contributor of humanistic theory. He assumed that humans naturally value attention, affection, and positive regard. His approach enables humans to see the importance of genuineness and empathy in upbringing individual growth.
