Mental health issue of teenagers that are studying in Bacoor City, Cavite from Junior to Senior Highschool

These days many students are pressured because the school year is going to end. The students may be pressured because they need to do the activities in 3rd quarter that they didn’t finish and a new set of activities in 4th quarter it may be the case of mental health problems. The students may be exhausted too because of the things they need to do and because of this they are having a bad time and might cause a problem in their mental health.

LEARNING TASK 3: It’s Checking Time!

Directions: Compare and contrast the following data collection methods.

Data collection methods Compare and contrast

  1. Interview versus observation Interview and observation are both great techniques of data collection. Observation has the most accurate result even though it is very time consuming and it requires a precise analysis by the researcher. Interviewing is a lot easier to do but the researchers may suffer from the fact that the participants may not reply with their honest answers.
  2. Structured interview versus semi structured interview

Structure and semi structured interview are both great techniques to interview peoples they already have a planned question. In structured interview the questions are created in advance and the candidates are asked the same questions and also in the same order. But in semis structured the interviewer asks only the interviewee a few predetermined questions and the other question are not planned or on the spot questions. 3. Interview versus focus groups Interview and focus groups are both methods that can be used by the researcher to collect data from different people. Focus groups are interacting individuals and brought by the interviewer to be together that drives the groups interaction and to gain information together for a specific topic. Interview is interviewing a person in individual because the topic may be too controversial for a focus group atmosphere that are sharing together in one room.

LEARNING TASK 4: Let’s do a Chit-Chat!

Directions: Device a plan to do an interview - formal or informal, that will substantiate information about any current community health issues. You may use recorders, notes, videos, questionnaires and or any data collection tool for documentation purposes.

By sending my google form questionnaire to 10 people the results are that 10 answered serious that the pollution is serious in our community and 10% of them thinking that their pollution now is little worse than last year and 10% said that it is the same. The40% said that their authorities responsible for the cleaning and maintenance in our community are doing their job properly and 10% said no and 40% said maybe. There are 100% answer that we are the responsible for the pollution in our community. They said that the 10 of them are affecting their life because of the pollution. These says that pollution is bad not only for our health and also for our self. They are distracting us for what we need to do and because of this outcome I think our community need to improve our cleaning program so that it will lessen at least the pollution.

LEARNING TASK 6: Time to Assess!

1. C

2. B

3. A

4. B

5. A

REFLECTION:

  • Communicate your personal assessment as indicated in the Learner’s Assessment Card.

In your journal, write your personal insights about the lesson using the prompts below.

I understand that we can use different types of methods on collecting data.

I realize that I should study more because after answering this module I realize that I didn’t understand it much.

I need to learn more about this lesson because I think I didn’t learn much so I think I need to read it again.
