DAILY LESSON LOG

School: Tabuan National High School

Grade Level: Grade 8- Yakal

Teacher: ALFREDO MACION ACASIO JR. Learning Area: Mathematics 8

Teaching Dates and Time: November 28-29 -December 1-2, 2022 @ 2:00 am-3:00 pm Quarter: 2 nd Quarter

I. OBJECTIVES

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday

Objective over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons exercises and remedial activities

maybe done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are using Formatives Assessment Strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable

children to find significance and joy in learning the lesson. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guide.

A. Content Standards: The learner demonstrates key concepts of linear inequalities in two variables, systems of

linear inequalities in two variables and linear functions.

B. Performance

Standards:

The learner is able to formulate and solve accurately real-life problems involving linear

inequalities in two variables, systems of linear inequalities in two variables, and linear

functions.

C. Learning Competencies/

Objectives:

Write the LC code for each

At the end of the period, at

least 75% of the students will

to:

To measure the stock knowledge of the students in linear Inequality

(Pre – Assessment in linear Inequality)

At the end of the session, the learners can

a. Differentiate linear inequalities in two variables from linear equations in two variables; M8AL-IIa-

b. Illustrate and graphs linear inequalities in two variables. M8AL-IIa-

c. Solve problems involving linear inequalities in two variables. M8AL-IIa-

RESOURCES

List the materials to be used in different days. Varied resources of materials sustain children’s interest in the

lesson an in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and manipulative materials as well as paper-

based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept development.

IV PROCEDURES

These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that the students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can

infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing the students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning processes

and draw conclusion about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

A. Reviewing Previous

Lesson or Presenting

New Lesson

3 min: Let the students answer the

questions in differentiating linear

inequalities in two variables from

linear equations in two variables.

3 min: Teacher recall the polynomial

equation.

3 min : The Teacher explains that this

session will be the presentation of the

first topic about polynomial function.

ICL ICL

B. Establishing a Purpose

for the Lesson

2 min: Tell the students the purpose of a

pretest in differentiating linear

inequalities in two variables from

linear equations in two variable.

3 min: Tell the students the purpose of

knowing the differences between

linear inequalities in two variables

from linear equations in two

variable.

ICL

C. Presenting

Examples/Instances of

the Lesson

Activity: Express Me

Directions: Express the following

linear equations in two variables into

its standard form 𝐴𝐴 + 𝐴𝐴 = 𝐴.

Write your answer in a separate

sheet

D. Discussing New

Concepts and

Practicing New Skills#

10- 15 min.
  • Let the learners will do

Activity 1: Sort me well!

Directions: Below are mathematical

statements. Classify these

statements in the column where

they belong. Write your answer in a

separate sheet.

ICL

E. Developing Mastery

(Leads To Formative

Assessment 2)

ICL 15-20 min. Let the learners will do

Activity 2: Name Me!

Directions: Identify whether the

situation represents a linear

inequality in two variables or not.

Write LI if it is, otherwise write

NLI. Write your answer in

separate sheet of paper.

15-20 min. Let the learners will do

Activity 3: What am I?

Directions: Translate mathematical

statements into mathematical

sentences of linear equations and

linear inequalities in two variables.

Write your answer on a separate

sheet
