Critical Thinking Questions: 1. Agree or disagree - Are you in favor of legalizing marriage among homosexuals and transgender? Beforehand, I would like to make it clear that I have utmost respect to same-sex married couple and my answers do not seek tarnish any union in the LGBT+ community. I am in favor and full support in the idea of a civil union (which is a union outside the church, allowing homosexual couples to be officially recognized as partners; and constitutes all benefits and protections as are granted to spouses in a marriage under existing laws) but I am not in favor when it comes to marriage. As one of the sacraments and the foundation of the Christian church, I would like to keep marriage between a man and a woman as this type of union supports marriage's main purpose: which is for procreation and life. Allowing same-sex marriage would somehow diminish the authenticity and its main purpose. Even if one would argue about love having no gender, the concept of marriage has its mandate in the Church’s very foundation, that is the bible; and the bible solely discusses that marriage is limited to the union of a man and a woman.
