I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standards Demonstrates understanding the value of money in everyday life B. Performance Standards Apply number concepts in problems situation involving money C. Learning Competencies or Objectives

Counts the value of a set of bills or a set of coins through 100 in combined peso coins and peso bills (M2NS- if- 21). II. CONTENT Counting the value of a Set of Bills or a Set of Coins through 100 in Combined Peso Coins and Peso Bills. Lesson integration: Within: Araling Panlipunan-2: Natutukoy ang mga bumubuo sa komunidad : a. mga taong naninirahan b: mga institusyon c. at iba pang istrukturang panlipunan (AP2KOM-Ia- 1)

IV. PROCEDURE

A. Review previous lesson or presenting the new lesson

Distribute at least 5 set of coins or set of bills to your pupils. Let them count the coins and tell to their classmates. B. Presentation of the Lesson Motivation Play: Guessing Game; How much? Place paper bills and coins inside the jar. Call some pupils to guess the amount inside the jar. Let them write the amount in the chart. After everybody had guessed/reveal the amount which was written in a piece of paper pasted on the side of the jar. Recognize the pupil who guessed correctly. Noted: The amount of money inside the jar are the following 1- 50 1- 20 1- 5 1- 10 5- 1₱₱₱₱₱ Ask: How many 50 s was there? 20 s? 5 s? 10 s and₱‟₱‟₱‟₱‟ ₱‟5 s coins? Show the illustration of the money on the board or chart.

Let them class read the money and write the money and

write their numerical values. Let them add the values. Ask: Do you have money in your pocket? Where and when do use our money? Can tell us, The name of Sari-sari store owner and their store location in our Barangay? How about other services? Can you name a Carpenter, Vulcanizer, Electrician and other people that offer services in our barangay? Explain: We use our money to purchase goods in sari-sari store or in any outlet that sell product or services. Here in our Barangay can you Identify the services given to us by the government and where could we locate the structures that offers these services?

Help the pupils share what they know about their community, the people, leaders, and structures.

C. Development Activity Reinforcing Activity (Group Activity) Present the Norms to be followed for group activities G-ive thoughtful feedback R-espect others and their thoughts O-n task all the time U-se appropriate voice level to communicate P-articipate actively S-tay on your sit. Let the pupils discuss and agree to the Norms.

Remind the pupils to observe the health and protocols and to always wear their facemask while doing the activity.

Group the pupils according to their level:

Red Group- Give them set of bills and set of coins tell them to estimate the cost of the given items, and write the amount in figures.

Orange Group- Give 3 sets of bills and 2 sets of coins. Let them count the amount of each set.

Yellow Group- Distribute each activity sheet and let them encircle the letter of the exact amount in each number.

Let the pupil choose their leader to present the activity

Give time to pupils to share their experiences while doing the activity
