CHAPTER 1

THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Introduction

Our emotional, psychological and social well-being are all part of our mental health. It affects our thoughts, actions and emotions. It also affects how you manage stress, interact with others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is fundamental to all stages of life, from childhood to adolescence to adulthood. In this study, performance refers to mental health communication in your own language. Actions such as B. Participate in activities designed to address mental health problems (eg, use psychiatric medications, engage in psychotherapy, or talk about your mental health). Tolerance is defined as a sense of purpose for people based on the feeling that others are dependent on and interested in them (Schlossberg, 1989).

Mental health issues are common among college students (Gruttadaro & Crudo, 2012) and Many students often do not have access to adequate support to deal with the psychological distress of one reason for this is the impact of stigma and stigma on integrating mental health into one's identity (as a status of accepted social identity), or mental health as a problem that needs to be addressed in daily life. It may be recognition. Currently mental Health is not one of the most frequently mentioned identities in the literature on college student identities. Most student identity theories recognize the importance of mental health in identity development. However, mental health is not considered a prominent category of social identity and on your own.

In addition, high school students are becoming more and more vulnerable to social and mental disabilities due to developmental and academic demands (Alfoukha et al, 2019). College students are one of a group that lacks coping skills to deal with the challenges that result from stress and depression. As adolescents are still mature, they lack the psychological and social skills to cope with overwhelming situations (Crone & Dahl, 2012).

Teachers. This study will help teachers to easily identify this kind of problem of

students, it will provide signals and the teachers will have a better understanding of their students

learning needs and broadened their professional experiences.

Department of Education. This study will provide a more vivid picture of the

current situation of the students who are dealing with mental health issues, as well as the impact

on their learning. And the teachers understanding will provide more incentive and strength to the

children to keep battling.

Parent. The results of this study will help parents understand the situation of

mental disorders such as depression and the importance of proper instruction and love.

Future Researchers. This research will be a useful guide for future researchers

planning to do their first research. This allows you to get more information and the right thing if

you know someone who is suffering from this kind of problem.

Scope and Delimitation of the Study

This study aims to investigate the root causes of mental health problems and how parents,

teachers, and other student resources can deal with them. And how students can overcome and

protect themselves from serious incidents, in other words suicide attempt.

This study, will use descriptive design studies to observe students mental health with

naturalistic observations.

This study will be limited to the Senior High School Students of Bani National High

School. The respondents of the study will be Senior High School Students of Bani National High

School. The researchers will gather the data from forty (40) students out of its sixty (60) total

population.
