Experiment Name: Interconnections of LANS

1: LANs can be defined as the interconnection of computers and peripherals within a limited geographical area, and they can be distinguished, based on their topology and the communication media used to interconnect the equipment. For an interconnected network, a network topology can be categorized into two different types. One is the so-called direct network, which means the endpoint of a node is directly connected to the backbone network. The endpoint of a node will be located inside the interconnected network. A LAN is a computer network that consists of access points, cables, routers, and switches that enable devices to connect to web servers and internal servers within a single building, campus, or home network. Devices on a LAN, typically personal computers and workstations, can share files and be accessed by each other over a single Internet connection. A router assigns IP addresses to each device on the network and facilitates a shared Internet connection between all the connected devices. A network switch connects to the router and facilitates communication between connected devices, but does not handle Local Area Network IP configuration or sharing Internet connections. Switches are ideal tools for increasing the number of LAN ports available on the network.

3 Designing Lan2:

Real time Design:

IP Configuration of Component: To configure the IP address of an interface, we configure all PC one by one click on pc, open DESKTOP window, fill IP Address, Fill subnet mask and default gateway. After that, simulate the network using simulation.
