Through learning the mini-case study: Between a rock and a hard place, and considering the strategy of critical thinking that is "Analyze the topic"(king,2015). It is the ability to break down the topic into different parts or key elements, which make it easy for us to get the information or evaluate it. Here it comes Nasira is a new, and novice employee in the K9 Dura-Corp a small growing firm that manufactures pet supplies. Working as a procurement specialist, her job is to find a source for the company that the sustainability of the company depends on that, the company is based in Michigan, and heavily relied on "made in America" marketing for its products company doesn't have a manufacturing line in Michigan plant, but they put together the products that generated by other companies and it is Nasira's job to find a source or a suitable supplier for their materials. It is an important task for Nasira t complete, and she will get a promotion if she completes the task excellently. In her research, she found two companies that can provide the materials for them, one overseas, and one in Midwest. According to Nasira's research and analysis, the overseas fabric made by Fab-Right Inc was cheaper and touted as chew-proof.

She was concerned that the company pays less to their workers, and exploits their employees in terrible conditions, and she couldn't find any information about environmental impact, and she suspect that they are hiding something. The second company, Midwestern All-Fabric Inc left her concerned too. The fabric is less durable, she found from the sample the company had sent her. In her research, she found that the company contaminated the local water. She is concerned that less durable fabric means a chewing hazard for dogs. AS Nasira's finding shows, the reason she found she decide not to choose any of those companies and continue her search for the right company that meet her concern. The key facts of the case study are information of Nasira about supplier companies and the production delays of Nasira's company that they don't have a good source yet, and they have been operating on an incredibly thin margin and sales have been down. One of the critical thinking strategies is making the right decision for the majority, according to the journal of accountancy(n) "Critical thinkers put their egos aside and think about what is best for the overall organization, even if that is not the best solution for the individual, their goal is seeking to understand and then making a clear and rational decision that is best for the majority"(para). According to the journal of accountancy strategy, we can analyze the situation of the company. First of all, Nasira is inexperienced with real-world problems, and she couldn't analyze the situation of her company due to lack of experience, she might have underrated how important her job is in the company, and she didn't figure out about repercussions if she didn't find the part manufacture in time.
