Reflection paper The study of genetics revolution was amazing topic. Firstly, it was interesting to learn that it is possible to change the embryo’s gender and genetic composition through application of biotechnology. Similarly, it was amazing to learn that there is a difference between a disease and illness. Surprisingly, one can have a disease but not ill since illness involves suffering, stress and disease. However, the question on the ethical grounds on genetic revolution and technological application in altering an embryo sex was not answered. Furthermore, the morality of abortion contraception was not dealt with completely. On the same note, it was interesting to learn that the first organ transplantation was done on between a dog and a sheep. Similarly, the factor that now one can receive an organ from a donor regardless of their difference in blood group was an amicable knowledge. However, this is not possible with blood group O who can only receive organs from people of the same blood group. Also, realizing that most transplant organs are taken from dying people is amazing. In addition, the new developments in organ transplanting were a point of interest. The fact that today it is possible to transplant almost every part of the body shows the human powerful innovations and research as well as the power of biotechnology. Moreover, the question of whether procuring of organs on the dying is ethical was not answered. The question is whether the organ should be removed while a person dies or before he/she dies can be termed assisted murder or not. Finally, at what condition can one receive an organ from a minor donor or an incompetent person?
